I enjoy reading, listening to classical music, painting and writing. Also I like to cook for my family.
In my spare time I also help some poor children with their studies.
I think is unfair that some people wallow in luxury and some people do not have two square meals a day.I think I am a socialist at heart.
I live in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu India, with my husband who is a retired officer of L.I.C. I make frequent trips to U.K and the USA to visit my children and grand children. In fact it was a priest in one of the temples of U.S.A who gave me the idea for my story 'Nanu'. I have written a few short stories in Tamil and some stories for children in English, which have been published in magazines like Tinkle, Gokulam in India.
I do not believe in the many forms of God but I do believe in one Creator. From childhood I have had a deep thirst for fulfilment and I have been fortunate in having found a true guide, a living master [in Prem Rawat or Maharaji as he is popularly known], which is very important in my opinion. I feel a contentment and a deep peace within me. This thirst of mine to seek God can be seen to be reflected in the stories Nanu and The Violinist.
Sulekha has given me encouragement to write. I write about people I know. Many of them including my maid servants have a story so unique! So I want to write more in future.
